I just spoke to them as they are now in Windhoek and plan to be in Cape Town next week sometimes. Any interest from Cape Town members to meet with them?

They are now in Citrusdal and plan to be in Stellenbosch, Overland Campsite on Saturday and Monday at JB. Another rear side shaft broke, so I suspect a bend axle.
Maybe Cape Members can make contact and hear what can be done or what is needed at not so great expense and plant a few LCCSA Stickers on that car!

I will PM the number if someone wishes to have it for further arrangements! :)

OK, so here the story. Emil and the 60 were at the shop this morning. The housing are cracked on the right rear seaping oil all over. However the crack not the cause for the side shaft to shear off. recommended a full floater but we can only get one second hand for a little heavty price. The U bolts need to get replaced as well for the backing plate right rear. I spoken to Adolf and he suggested that we the club try to get involved here to get the old cameradi back. Bennie Smit said he will donate he's old semi floater with side shafts. I obviously will need to charge some labour and other parts to get the housing fitted with centre portion from old diff. Then there are some costs involving them to stay somewhere because there vehicle are the home and transport. The work also can only be carried out when I got a opening for them within three weeks time. So anymore input and help here will be much appreciated. I just not got the know how and time to arange more than I could. And than you again Bennie for being such a great guy in this club. Always giving and help people in need of something.

That more than the R135.00 you paid already Afolf. Thank you, that would already cover almost if not in total all the cost. :D

OK, some feed back.
Emil were here today to let me check the work involved to do the work.
They are booked for Friday the 13 th ( good day for me ) . They need to wait for me to finish it in one day because of there situation regarding transport and accommodation. For that reason i will not book in any other work for the day except for two that's already booked.
They looked at the donor housing and are very impressed with the condition.Thank you for all of those who PM me with contributing money for the repair.
But can i please ask to let me finish the work first and let you guys know how much money we need to get them sorted. I will PM you my banking details then
