The LCCSA will be hosting its member get-together, the Saamtrek, from 27 April to 2 May 2022 at Forever Resort, Gariep. All members are welcome! Please read more about it here
The program for the event is given below:
Wednesday 27 April 2022
All day is set aside for arrival and registration. Members are attending from all over South Africa, so take your time, just get there safely. When you arrive at “Forever Resorts – Gariep Dam” – you will be registered at the entrance by the Gariep staff. Don’t worry, they will have all your details. Head towards the Campgrounds that will be clearly marked with LCCSA signs.
Once you get to the Campgrounds (even if you’re staying in a chalet or at the luxury Campsites) – please come and register your arrival at the LCCSA tent at the Campground. Here you’ll receive a goodie bag filled with some incredible goodies, including an LCCSA gift and several other handy items. Each attendee will be taking care of their own meals on Friday. If you’re tired from driving, don’t worry, because there’s also a restaurant on site that serves well-proportioned meals at a good price!
Thursday 28 April 2022
08h00: We‘ll start off by meeting at the big tent at 08h00 for the official opening and welcome. Except for the sponsored dinner on Sunday night, all activities will be held (or start from) this big tent.
09h30: A guided 4x4 trail will depart from the resort – returning at around 13h00. Cost for this route is R200 per vehicle, and will be the same route offered on all 4 days of the event. Only 15 vehicles per group are permitted so please book your spot on one of the days. There will be workshops all weekend for you to attend. Each day will have different course content even though it’s under the same heading and there is no limit to how many you attend. No registration necessary. Each workshop will be between 60 and 90 minutes.
09h30: Henri Stofberg will be hosting a course discussing Cross Border Mistakes, Tips and also Cross Border recoveries.
11h30: There will be a Cruiser weigh-in and Flex test. Bring your Cruiser over to be weighed and test the flex on your suspension!

Cost is R150 per person and must be paid beforehand. The Cruise is approximately 90 minutes duration. Please bear in mind that this is a large dam and weather does play a part. There is a small chance that these Cruises may be cancelled for weather.

There is an opportunity that we can get permission to do this tour and representation has been made in this regard. We are hopeful that we’ll be able to arrange this still, and if so, we will include it into the Order of Events at a later stage.
