A number of organisations that I pay an annual membership for and for instance vehicle licence renewals, send out the reminders more than two months in advance. If you pay immediately on notice, they get the interest on your payment but it does not affect the term. I am certain that they do it because they know human nature all too well. Can you imagine how many complaints they will get if they send out the reminders the day before it is due.
Rest assured, your membership of the LCCSA will not be a month shorter if you pay in advance, but you may lose 9 cents of interest.
Your other option is to schedule your payment with your bank to go off on the day that it is due. See, easy peasy.

Good point Jan, but the reminders might be a little to frequent and after all the LCCSA is not a licensing department but volunterily organisation' which most of us dearly love......

Yes. Renewal reminders are just that. Reminders.

Happy to switch those off if they’re not useful or used
We have changed from 2-1-due month reminders to 4 weeks, 4w-10 days, 4w-20 days (i.e ever 10 days in the last month, to not send the reminder on the same day every 2 weeks for example) because the older format reminders seem to not be effective over a longer period - and many members still end up letting their membership lapse, then sometimes have difficulties to log in after renewal date to renew

Using this approach also means Paul that we can never (and do not) charge for shorter periods
